1° day ROME

Arrival in Rome and meet with English-speaking assistant. Rome is the capital of Italy and of the Lazio Region. Rome’s history spans more than 2500 years, since its legendary founding in 753 BC and it’s one of the oldest continuously occupied cities in Europe. It is referred to as “The Eternal City”, a notion expressed by ancient Roman poets and writers. In the ancient world, it was successively the capital city of the Roman Kingdom, the Roman Republic and the Roman Empire, and is regarded as one of the birthplaces of Western civilization. Since the 1st century AD, Rome has been considered the seat of the Papacy and in the 8th century, it became the capital of the Papal States, which lasted until 1870. In 1871 Rome became the capital of the Kingdom of Italy, and in 1946 that of the Italian Republic. Transfer to hotel and check-in. Dinner at your leisure and overnight.

2° day ROME

Hotel breakfast. Morning guided tour of ancient Rome: the Palatine, the Roman Forum, the Colosseum and the Baths of Caracalla. In the afternoon, continue with your personal discovery of Rome. Lunch at your leisure. Possibility to visit the Vatican, the Sistine Chapel, Spanish Steps, Piazza Navona, the Trevi Fountain. Dinner at your leisure. Hotel Overnight.

3° day POMPEI - NAPLES

Hotel breakfast and leave for Pompeii, and see how life was before the volcano hit: the alleys, the town forum, the bakery, the spas, the homes and a perfect reconstruction of family life at that time. Lunch at your leisure. In the afternoon guided tour of Naples, the capital of the Italian region Campania and the third-largest municipality in Italy, after Rome and Milan. It is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. Bronze Age Greek settlements were established in the Naples area in the second millennium BC. Check-in at hotel. Dinner at your leisure. Hotel Overnight.

4° day CAPRI

Hotel breakfast. Transfer to the pier where you will embark on the ferry to Capri, one of the most spectacular islands on the Mediterranean Sea, right in front of the Sorrentino Peninsula. Enchanting and picturesque, Capri is an island made of limestone rock. A favorite with Roman emperors, the rich and famous, artists and writers. It is still one of the Mediterranean’s must-see places. The island’s top attraction is the famous Blue Grotto, Grotta Azzurra. Lemon trees, flowers, and birds are abundant and altogether provide that special Capri atmosphere. Spend the whole day on the island where you will have a panoramic tour and time for the lunch at your leisure. You will also enjoy some spare time for shopping in the small boutique shops that the world’s jetsetters love so much. Return to the mainland, dinner at your leisure and overnight at your hotel.

5° day NAPLES - ROME - PISA - MONTECATINI

Hotel breakfast. Leave from Naples, heading north to Tuscany. Lunch is at your leisure. In the afternoon arrival in Pisa, famous for the world known monumental Cathedral and Piazza del Duomo, much loved tourist destinations, also called Leaning tower. In the evening arrival in the idyllic Spa Town of Montecatini. Accommodation. Dinner at your leisure and overnight.

6° day MONTECATINI - FLORENCE - MONTECATINI

Hotel breakfast. Full day excursion to Florence, the heart of the Renaissance, and the capital city of the Italian Region of Tuscany. Centre of medieval European trade and finance and one of the wealthiest cities of the time, Florence is considered the birthplace of the Renaissance, and has been called “the Cradle of the Renaissance”. A turbulent political history includes periods of ruling by the powerful Medici family, and numerous religious and republican revolutions. From 1865 to 1871 the city was also the capital of the recently established Kingdom of Italy. The historic center attracts millions of tourists each year, and Florence is ranked as one of the most visited cities in the world. On arrival guided tour of the city to get the chance, among others, to see the “David” sculpture by Michelangelo. Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1982, the city contains numerous museums and art galleries, such as the Uffizi Gallery and the Pitti Palace and still exerts an influence in the fields of art, culture and politics. Florence is also an important city in Italian fashion, being ranked within the top fifty fashion capitals of the world. Lunch at your leisure. Return to Montecatini, dinner at leisure and overnight.

7° day MONTECATINI - CINQUE TERRE - MONTECATINI

Hotel breakfast. Full day trip to the Cinque Terre in Liguria, where the coast is punctuated by picturesque small fishing villages. The villages are only connected by paths, boats, or trains - nope, no cars.  Indulge in the views of these picturesque - postcards villages and a boat ride or train ride along the coast. Lunch at your leisure. Return to Montecatini. Dinner at your leisure and overnight.

8° day MONTECATINI - SIENA - SAN GIMINIANO - MONTECATINI

Hotel breakfast and leave for Siena, one of the most beautiful medieval towns in Italy. Its historic center has been declared by UNESCO a World Heritage Site. Siena is one of the nation’s most visited tourist attractions, and it is famous for its cuisine, art, museums, medieval cityscape and the Palio, a horse race in traditional costumes. Walk with your local guide through narrow streets, lined with medieval palaces, the City Hall, Piazza del Campo and the Cathedral. Lunch at your leisure. In the afternoon departure to San Giminiano, hilltop town, known for its towers and bell towers, situated among vineyards, olive trees and the delightful Tuscan countryside. On the way back to Montecatini, stop for wine tasting. Dinner at leisure and overnight.

9° day MONTECATINI - LUCCA - ROME

Hotel breakfast and leave for Lucca.  For its monumental and historic wealth, Lucca has been proposed as addition to the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The old town has preserved its medieval appearance with ancient churches, bell towers and monumental renaissance palaces. Lunch at your leisure. In the afternoon departure for Rome. Check-in at hotel. Dinner at your leisure and overnight.

10° day ROME

Hotel breakfast and transfer to airport in time to catch your flight!
