A scenery that encloses a straordinary variety of landscapes: valleys shaped by rivers, waterfalls, coniferous forests, all of them surrounded by the Brenta Dolomites: we are in the western Trentino, with its authentic nature, in some parts still unexplored, with its geological diversity of the two massifs – the Brenta Dolomites and the Adamello-Presanella Group. Welcome to the Adamello –brenta Natural Park, a land which hands down its traditions generation by generation, offering its local typical products, such as the yellow corn flour of Storo and the alpine dairy cheese. 

 

Tour programme

Day 1:

Lake Toblino - Pinzolo

Arrival at the the airport and welcome meeting with our speaking english assistant. Private transfer to Pinzolo. Short break along the way at Castel Toblino, Trentino's most famous castle: it’s fame is due to its fantastic location in the middle of Lake Toblino and the beautiful landscape it is set in. Arrival in Pinzolo, lunch at your leisure and free time. In the afternoon, visit to St. Vigilius’ Church, renowned for its frescoes, painted by Baschenis in 1539. The most important fresco is certainly “The Dance of Death”, which occupies the top of the south wall for a length of 20 metres and representing 40 characters. Following visit to the Geopark Visitor centre in Carisolo, discovering the geodiversity of the Adamello-presanella group and the Brenta Dolomites, Unesco world heritage site. Dinner and overnight in Pinzolo. Sistemazione in hotel. Cena e pernottamento.

 

Day 2:

Nardis Waterfalls - Madonna di Campiglio

Hotel breakfast. Departure by bus to Val Genova, heading to the Nardis Waterfalls. With our guide, you ‘ll have a short walking excursion reaching the waterfall, the most famous one in the western Trentino. The legend tells that the waterfall is made by princess Presanella’s tears: as her love for Prince Vermiglio wasn’t paid back, she turned both of them into rocks,so that they could stay one next to the other forever.  Free time. Return to Pinzolo; by cable car, you will reach 2.100mt up to Doss del Sabion. In front you view you’ll have one of the most spectacular view over the brenta Dolomites and, if you turn around you will also see the Adamello glacier and you’ll feel immediately part of this natural beauty. Lunch at your leisure at the mountain hut or upon your return in Pinzolo. Back to Pinzolo, and departure to Madonna di Campiglio, one of the most renowned tourist destinations in the Alps, where VIP and celebrities come for their holidays. Home of famous alpinists, Madonna di Campiglio hosts international sport events, such as the Alpine ski world cup and very often the Giro d’Italia. Return to Pinzolo, dinner and overnight. 

 

Day 3:

Valle del Chiese - Fort Larino

Hotel breakfast and departure to Valle del Chiese, shaped by the river Chiese, heading to Val di Fumo, a 30 km valley at 2.000 mt, into a pure and wild nature studded by pines and rhododendron. You will depart with our guide from the Bissina dam, walking the first part along the artificial lake and then entering a natural gate, walking on small wooden bridges and reaching a mountain hut, where you can have your lunch. Return to the bus in the afternoon and departure to Pinzolo, with a stop at Fort Larino Fort. WWI changed Trentino history: between 1859 and 1866, the region, which had became part of Tyrol and of the Austrian empire in 1815, became a border area with the Italian kingdom. Up to 80 fortresses have been built in that time, as well as 300 km of trenches and road blockades. One of the blockades was situated in this place with Fort Larino, built to protect the whole valley from possible Italian attacks. The fort is majestic, with its 900 sq metres and “L” shape. Inside, it has guard rooms, a kitchen, a food supply room, an infirmary, dormitories and prison cells to host up to 3 officers and 122 men. On the southern and eastern side are the cannon holes, and riflemen holes can be found along the rest of the perimeter.Return to Pinzolo dinner and overnight. 

 
 

Day 4:

Detox Experience - Trento

Hotel breakfast and check out. Departure to Ponte Arche, where you’ll have a detox experience in the thermal park, 14 hectars big. Lunch at your leisure and continuation to Trento in the afternoon. Meeting with your guide and following visit of Trento, the capital city of the region, where from  1545 to 1563 the Concilio di Trento took place. Trento offers rather interesting monuments: St. Vigilius Cathedral on the main square, with the Late Baroque Fountain of Neptune, the Santa Maria Maggiore Church, the Buonconsiglio Castle and Torre Verde (Green Tower). Following visit to Palazzo Roccabruna, a stately home in the centre of the town, built in the 16th century by Gerolamo Roccabruna. Today property of the Trento Chamber of Commerce, it  is the provincial wine house, with a vast collection of prestigious labels and where various events are held, to promote world wine culture. Departure to the airport.

In order to protect all the participants and people involved in the activity, we kindly request to avoid the participation on case of one of these symptoms: 

- Temperature higher than 37.5
- Cough, Sore throat or breathing difficulty
- Fadigue, muscle or body anches 

We also request to let us know if you've been with symptomatic people in the last 14 days or if you come from a risk area (declared as such byt authorities) in the last 14 days.
